THE STORY:
Squiggle T. Buglet adventures through The Musical Forest, learning music words and playing music adventure games with her teacher friends. At the end of each episode Squiggle is awarded a ‘seed pod’ for fundamentals of music; rhythm, melody and hearing tones, harmony and the families of instruments.

At the end of each episode Squiggle is awarded a ‘seed pod’ for fundamentals of music; rhythm, melody and hearing tones, harmony and the families of instruments.
Squiggle is gathering these seed pods to visit “The Mysterious Cave of Doctor Soundartus” and make music on his Magic Music Wall, which she does at the conclusion.
During her adventures, Squiggle must cross ‘The Bridge’ to reach different parts of the forest. At these junctures, Little Troll pops up and makes her pass tests and riddles on what she has just learned in the previous episode. At the end, Squiggle and Little Troll make friends and visit The Mysterious Cave of Doctor Soundartus together.

The Musical Forest is also a concert work which Doctor Kaufman has presented and performed in many contexts, from workshops and classes, to chamber settings and with full orchestra.
Doctor Kaufman is an award winning teaching artist who has worked with young 
people for over 20 years. He has led a distinguished career as a composer of music for the classical concert stage and film. As founder of CHIRON Performing Arts he has presented the work of hundreds of artists of all disciplines. He continues this work and now presents a daytime series titled The Phantastic Theater where he presents works like The Musical Forest and his other multimedia works for family audiences, such as The Phantastic Zoo and Dancing Night Hawk. (all are books with audio albums of Doctor Kaufman’s creation and available on this site.)
